President of Rwanda
Paul Kagame has served as President of Rwanda since 2000. Epstein funded Rwandan students at Columbia University through the Clinton Foundation, a connection he later leveraged for access. In September 2010, when invited to an event where "many African heads of state" would attend and where the host was "great friends with the president of Rwanda," Epstein wrote: "she can tell kagami that I was the one that went with clinton and funded the rwandan students at columbia." In July 2012, a correspondent asked Epstein: "are you in rwanda with Clinton give president Kigame my best." He appears in 8 emails in the archive. Not a direct Epstein correspondent.
