He also briefed Epstein on China-Africa geopolitics, forwarding coverage of Xi Jinping's 2012 speech on China-Africa strategic partnerships. In March 2017 he asked Epstein to "check Rothschild for Boreh" ahead of a Geneva trip. His last email, in December 2018, reported a "big meeting Mubadala" and noted Dubai was "totally overbuilt."
